HOLA!!

Here at GinFest HQ, we are receiving emails from gin producers asking about Andalucía. Where is it in relation to Spain? What it is? Where it is near? How big is it? Do they drink gin there? (do they ever!).
So this page is mainly for UK and Irish gin producers who are interested in getting their gins showcased at festivals in the country that imports more gin from the UK & Ireland, than ANY other country in the world (barring the U.S).

So here is Andalucía in green, in relation to Spain. Big isn´t it!

It´s where we are putting on the first of the Gin Festivals in 2016 and 2017.
Andalucía is our base. And it is vast! It is the biggest autonomous region of Spain. It is made up of eight provinces, that all have different characters, landscapes and people. If you have heard of, but never been to, cities like Malaga, Almeria, Sevilla, Cadiz, Granada, as well as towns like Marbella, Puerto Banus, Torremolinos, Ronda, Nerja, Mojacar and Jerez; well they are all in Andalucía.

The 8 provinces of Andalucía. And everyone of them is stunning!
This is real Spain right here!

Map of Andalucia

One thing the Andaluz people are known for, is their love of a party! This is the region of the flamenco cities, fiestas, siestas, the Costa del Sol, the Costa Tropical, the Costa de la Luz, big festivals, a bar every 50 metres in the towns and cities and a people who just love to live life.
And boy do they love their gin! There are hundreds of bars that specialise in gin. Many that have menus where customers chose from 30+ gins. And thousands more places that have at least 10 gins on their shelves. This is the region that helped transform how Gin and Tonic was served. With love, care and flair.
Yes, the big boys are here, Beefeater, Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire, Larios, Seagrams et al.
But Hendricks, Martin Miller and Andalucía´s very own Puerto de las Indias are big sellers too.
The bars, hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, cafes and the general public are thirsty for new gins.

Gin producers – why not yours?’!

We want gin producers to come to our festivals so they can experience this great region, have a great weekend break, showcase their superb products, meet new friends, fans and important contacts – and just enjoy life too! You gin maestros have no doubt earned it!
