We did it!

Well, we only went and did it!

Our first festival, done and dusted. And it went really well.
Everyone who came enjoyed it.
All of the producers who exhibited loved it.
All of the participants, the bands, the bar staff, the security, the Flamenco artists all had a great time.
And everyone who experienced the whole event, wants more. That’s the imortant thing to me.
From an idea, laid on a friends couch on a sad, rainy day in the UK back in February, having been royally dumped on and feeling a bit shit about life, myself and relationships in general. To having a moment of clarity, a dream, then a plan: to finally seeing that project through to the end, with good results, and a massive opportunity now unfolding……well, I’ll take that.
That’s a win to me.

The whole idea, from conception to execution has given me a new found drive, strength or character, belief and goal in life. I am a different man for this event and will continue to grow as a man from it.

I have learnt alot from it. I am now very competant in solving problems on the spot, of planning, or organising my time, or staying positive. And truly, the most important thing I have learnt, is that The Laws of Attraction DO WORK.
I attracted key people to me, that have helped get this event done and who are now key to my future.
I did that by having passion, belief, postivity and sheer bloody mindedness.
And I thank everyone who helped me along the way from the bottom of my gin glass. No, truly, I have had a few good men in this, who every day went about their business with passion. I have had help from a couple of key people financially. And help from a couple of people, in just running, setting up, promoting, spreading the word, that is priceless.
Even those who aren’t into gin and didn’t come, have helped promote and support the event. And that has surprised me and humbled me.
I feel better about me, about life and about the future to havin those good people around me seeing my dream through.
And I have made massive contacts in the distilling game that will help and support this concept moving on, as well as forming key partnerships in various business activities coming from Ginfest Espana.

Next stop….Gin Experiences…….Rum School……..Brand Ambassadorships……and MORE GINFESTS!

So as I write this, I have just about recovered from the first Ginfest.
Knackered, battered and a bit bruised.
But just happy I got through it and that everyone who came enjoyed it and wants more.
Here are some pics taken by our esteemed video and photography expert Cine Spencer.
#GinfestGRX it did happen. And I am proud it did. It didn’t make me any money, but I got a crash course in doing business in Granada, Spain and in the gin game. And made some life long contacts already.
All the Gin Companies loved it, and are coming back for more…..so who am I to say no! Next stop, Decemberfest.

Here are some KEY, THANK-YOU’s.

First and foremost, my parents for all their support, belief and love. Kept me strong through the tough times this year. I know people who have lost parents this year and that only reinforces my love and respect and appreciation for still having my lovely, decent and fun-loving folks in my life.
My brother and sister and amazing families, again, for all their support and love.
And a particular person, for being there everyday and making my life have substance again.
To my friends from back home, Mickey Haycock and Paul Kidd in particular, for their patience. Not one of them really gets me or understands me even after 30 odd years, but they dont judge too harshly and always support me.
Love you guys.

ALL OF THE GIN PRODUCERS WHO CAME. WITHOUT YOU GUYS, THERE IS NO SHOW. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING UP! GINFEST FAMILY NOW!
